Fireworks, a parade, and a game of "hypothetically"

Sorry for missing my post for Day 5 last night! I literally left for work in the morning and did not return until after ten last night. It was a looong day. On the plus side, I got to watch my little brother score 25 points in his high school basketball game! He is such a baller =)

I am just going to pick back up like it is Day 5 today. The topic is:

Day 5.  Write a blog thanking someone who has made your heart come alive.

Thank you, Pat, for making my heart come alive. I remember really feeling it start beating again that awesome Fourth of July weekend in Nashville three years ago.

As you know, I had been having a little bit of a rough time at Auburn that year. I spent time around people that kind of drained the life out of me and made me forget everything that I cared about. I needed to get away. Thankfully, you didn't give up on me.

We had been spending a little bit of time together and talking again and things were starting to spark back up. You invited me to come see you in Nashville, where you were interning. You had a couple days off and there was this really fun parade =)

I'm so glad I came! We hung out, talked, sang, worked out, swam, watched movies, and stayed up late playing the "hypothetically" game. I remember thinking, "WOW. I could seriously marry this guy!".

Thank you for making my heart come alive that weekend! You helped make me "me" again and just happened to make me fall in love with you at the same time.

I LOVE YOU!
Haley =)

This is my favorite picture from that wonderful weekend. It's cool to look at it and know... I was falling in love with you as we took that picture!!! Can't you just see it?

Do any of you remember a specific moment you remember falling in love with your significant other?

  1. Such an adorable pic! I totally remember 'the moment' - driving back to college after my first trip to his hometown, through the Ocala forest with country music blasting...I KNEW!
